The Office of Enrollment Services - Analysis & Reporting (OESAR) provides data, research and analysis to university administrators, college and department leadership, faculty, staff, and researchers within The Ohio State University community. OESAR also reports to state and federal governments as well as the media, and the public. OESAR research drives university enrollment plans and measures university progress on its journey from excellence to eminence. The OESAR website provides admissions and student enrollment reports and presentations. Data requests can be initiated via the form provided. For staff interested in querying student data, resources and training are offered.
Each term, OESAR publishes the Official 15th Day Enrollment Report. This report serves as a census of student enrollment, and includes breakdowns by a number of academic and demographic categories, including academic program, and counts by gender and ethnicity. These census reports support a number of trend reports available on the site. In addition, the New First Year Student Profile provides a quick overview of recent incoming classes by highlighting characteristics such as ACT and SAT score averages, high school graduating class rank, and residency and minority student counts.
On this site you will find links to other published profiles and summaries. The Admissions Comparison and Summary Report is the university’s only all term, all student admissions report. The Course Distribution by Academic Program Report summarizes enrollment for each term by course subject and catalog number.
OESAR responds to ad hoc data requests and publishes custom reporting regarding admissions and enrollment data. A minimum of two weeks is required for fulfillment of all requests; more complex data requests may require additional time to complete. To make a data request please use the form linked above. If you would like to contact us, you may send an email to oesar@osu.edu or call (614) 688-0256.
